Lifetime Giving Program
The College offers four lifetime giving societies to recognize cumulative giving at levels of $1 million, $100,000, $25,000 and for having Aquinas College in your estate plan.
St. Thomas Aquinas Society
The St. Thomas Aquinas Society recognizes those who have Aquinas College in their estate plan. This society is named after Aquinas’s namesake, St. Thomas Aquinas, who was a Dominican scholar and teacher and one of the most influential thinkers in the history of the Catholic Church. Members of St. Thomas Aquinas Society ensure that St. Thomas Aquinas’s spirit of life-long learning and having an open mind and heart lives on in Aquinas College’s mission.
Monsignor Bukowski Society
The Monsignor Bukowski Society recognizes those who have made gifts totaling $1 million or more in their lifetime. This society is named after the College’s first and longest president, Monsignor Arthur Bukowski, who led the College through 35 years of formation and expansion. The Monsignor Bukowski Society honors those whose lifelong commitment and unparalleled generosity has helped the institution grow and continue to expand.
St. Dominic Society
The St. Dominic Society recognizes those who have made gifts totaling $100,000 or more in their lifetime. Named after St. Dominic de Guzman, a 13th century preacher who founded the Dominican Order, this society honors those whose generosity helps us continue the rich Dominican tradition rooted by Aquinas’s founders, the Dominican Sisters.
St. Catherine of Siena Society
The St. Catherine of Siena Society recognizes those who have made gifts totaling $25,000 or more in their lifetime. This society is named after St. Caterina Benincasa, one of four women Doctors of the Church. She is an exemplary model of balancing contemplative prayer and active works of mercy.
Consecutive Giving Program
The College recognizes loyal donors who have given 2 or more consecutive years to any College fund. There are five levels with specialized recognition (2, 5, 10, 20, 40+ years), named for prominent trees on campus.
American Beech Tree Society
The American Beech Tree Society recognizes those who have made an annual gift the most recent 2+ fiscal years. It is named for the American Beech Tree, which grows at a slow rate but can be expected to live up to 300-400 years. American Beech trees are native to MI and can be found throughout campus.
Redbud Tree Society
The Redbud Tree Society recognizes those who have made an annual gift the most recent 5+ fiscal years. Named for the Redbud Tree, which is known for its pink flowers that bloom in the spring. Redbud trees are native to MI and can be found blossoming everywhere on campus, especially along Robinson Road.
White Pine Tree Society
The White Pine Tree Society recognizes those who have made an annual gift the most recent 10+ fiscal years. Named for the White Pine trees, which can easily live over 200 years and are known for slow growth that speeds up between 10-20 years. Michigan’s state tree can be found all over campus.
Sugar Maple Tree Society
The Sugar Maple Tree Society recognizes those who have made an annual gift the most recent 20+ fiscal years. Named for the Sugar Maple Tree, which is known for being a landscape standout especially in the fall when the leaves turn a vibrant yellow, burnt orange, and deep red.
Oak Tree Society
The Oak Tree Society recognizes those who have made an annual gift for the most recent 40+ years. Named for the Oak tree, which is known for being a storehouse of wisdom embodied in its towering strength thanks to its size and longevity. Oak trees can be found all over campus.
